With Mitsubishi Q series PLCs Electric energy (consumption and regeneration), reactive energy, current, voltage, electric power, power factor, and frequency can all be measured with only one module. Minimum and maximum values are continuously tracked, and without scripting, two different upper/lower limit warnings can be used. One can measure the quantity of electricity consumed by output devices only while they are ON.

You can obtain the power rate in takt units as well as the power rate when the device is operating. With a three-phase 3-wire product, up to four circuits can be measured in one slot, and with a three-phase 4-wire product, up to three circuits. This allows power to be measured in a smaller area.
